Mac Auwers (United Kingdom / Belgium) Master Joined Boat: 7th December 2005 BSc. (Hons.) Marine Navigation & Underwater Science Master Class IV (3000 tonnes) PADI Rescue Diver Interests : Music, Reading, Sailing, Travelling Mac has been sailing on yachts of various sizes since 1988. He has been working in the yachting industry since 1996 and first stepped aboard a Perini Navi in 1997. In 1999 Mac took over his first yacht (SY Enterprise, Perini Navi) and continued to run her until joining Andromeda La Dea.

Aeneas Hollins (United Kingdom) Relief Captain Joined Boat : 1st April 2004 Master Class IV (3000 tonnes) ISM & ISPS Trained Safety Officer PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (Instructor) Interests : Marine Biology, Kite Boarding, Aeneas has been working on yachts since 1994, prior to joining Andromeda he worked as a MCA and RYA sailing instructor for several years.

Raul Oberto (Venezuela) Engineer Joined Boat : 8th March 2006 Commercial First Engineer III/2 Interests : Reading, Music, Travelling, Exercise Raul started his commercial engineer training at university in Venezuela in 94. From 96 until 98 he worked on commercial tankers and since 98 has worked on various large yachts including the Perini Navi SY Enterpise.

Thomas Shen (New Zealand) Technician / Deckhand Joined Boat : 30th April 2007 Diploma in Electronic Engineering CISCO, CCNA Interests : Motor Racing, Snowboarding After completing his Diploma at the University of Auckland, Thomas was employed as a marine electronic engineer in Auckland’s Viaduct from 2003 to 2007. During this time Thomas also travelled to Japan to attend a Furuno training course in deep sea commercial equipment. Thomas then joined Andromeda La Dea to enjoy new challenges and adventure.

Hilary Gibson (Australia) Head Stewardess / Masseuse Joined Boat : 10th July 2007 Level 3 Hospitality Certification (Australia) PADI Open Water Diver Qualified Massage Therapist Interests : Music & Festivals, Travel, Trekking, Swimming, Photography Hilary has been working in the hospitality industry since 1996 and started her yachting life on the Great Barrier Reef in 1997, before heading abroad to travel. After travelling through Asia and Europe she joined her first overseas yacht in 1999. Since then she has combined her career in the yachting industry with her love of adventure and travel.

Shaye Mead (Australia) Stewardess Joined Boat : 27th July 2007 Level 3 Hospitality Certification (Australia) Travel Agent Sales Consultant Interests : Travel, Camping, Trekking, Music, Photography Shaye started in the hospitality industry at an early age prior to beginning her world travels. She joined her first expedition vessel in 2000. Shaye has also done stints as a travel agent and a used vehicle consultant but always returns to yachts for her love of the ocean and meeting people.

Linda Pearson (Australia) Stewardess / Deckhand & Dive Operations Joined Boat : 6th December 2006 PADI Open Water Dive Instructor Open Coxswains Certificate (Australia) Interests : Underwater photography, trekking, diving, travelling, fishing. Linda has been working in the hospitality industry since 1998. Two and a half years were spent as a dive instructor onboard a live aboard vessel. Another two years were spent being an underwater videographer and for a further four years Linda worked in five star island resort restaurants.
